Oysters can be polarizing—you either love them or hate them. Personally, I just got into eating oysters and found that BBQing is the best way to start. Avoid fresh water: Keep them in their shells until you're ready to eat them.

BBQ Oysters
Ingredients
- 12 fresh oysters, in the shell
- 4 tablespoons grass-fed butter, softened
- 2 tablespoons fresh parsley, finely chopped
- Zest of 1 lemon
- A pinch of salt
Instructions
- Preheat your grill to medium-high heat.
- In a small bowl, combine the softened grass-fed butter, chopped parsley, lemon zest, and a pinch of salt. Mix until well blended.
- Carefully shuck the oysters, discarding the top shell and keeping the oyster in the bottom shell. Be sure to retain as much of the oyster liquor (juices) as possible.
- Spoon a small amount of the butter mixture onto each oyster, spreading it evenly over the top.
- Place the oysters on the grill. Cook for about 5-7 minutes, or until the edges of the oysters curl slightly and the butter mixture is bubbly and melted.
- Remove the oysters from the grill using tongs. Allow them to cool for a minute before serving.
